Chelsea & Mark’s winter wonderland wedding at the Cotton Room in Durham
Chelsea & Mark got married on the first of December at the Cotton Room in Durham, and they wanted a winter feel without it being too Christmas-y. Well y’all, they NAILED IT. I am in love with the winter wonderland created in the Cotton Room. The trees were the perfect backdrop for the ceremony and all the florals were OUT OF THIS WORLD (major shout out to
Fallon’s Flowers)
I also loved that Chelsea and her girls got ready in flannel pjs. And of course Chelsea’s pup Wallace was there hanging out (We got to meet him during their engagement session
last year). The bridal prep suite that the Cotton Room makes available is one of the best out there – plenty of mirror and counter space for a big bridal party 😀
For the first look and bridal party portraits, we went next-door to
Belt Line station. (Tangent: we know how dangerous train tracks are, and that even out-of-use tracks are private property.
I will not photograph on real train tracks. The “tracks” outside the Cotton Room are my exception. There are definitely no trains as the tracks don’t actually go anywhere (you can see one end behind Chelsea & Mark) AND the venue owns them so we’re permitted to photograph there. – End tangent)
Right before the ceremony we checked out Wallace in his adorable tux to make sure he was ready for his role as ring bearer
After the kiss and the hashtag change (so cute!) the Cotton Room pulled off an amazing room flip and everyone oohed and aaahed over the winter wedding details. Dances, toasts, and then the
donuts were oohed and aaahed over too 😀
I really think the donut carb-loading got everyone into great shape for the dance floor! This crowd (even grandma!) danced all the way up to the sparkler exit.
The night ended with kisses for Wallace and each other. Congrats Chelsea & Mark and thanks for having us! The rest of the amazing team:
