Marbles Museum Wedding

Marbles Museum Wedding

Kaleigh & Nick’s fun Marbles Museum Wedding

These two are teachers, and what better venue for teachers to get married than a kids’ museum? Raleigh has some pretty cool venues, but I have to say a Marbles Museum wedding is one of the more unique options. Everything about their wedding on Friday was fun and energetic, from the blue skies, to the ukulele and accordion ceremony music, to the fun portrait backdrops, right down to Kaleigh’s green wedding shoes. Perfection.

The awesome vendor team:

Photography: Kivus & Camera (thaaaat’s us!)
Planner: Ashley – friend of the family
Officiant: Jonathan Bow from Crosspointe Church
DJ: Brian with McSound Productions (one of our faves!)
Hair & Makeup: The Bardot (another fave!)
Transportation: The Raleigh Trolley
Pre-Ceremony Cocktail Hour: Brewery Bhavana

And now, bride prep at the Hampton Inn Downtown Raleigh:

There’s something really nice about intimate prep time. Kaleigh did her final touches and got dressed with just her mom and her sister, who was also her Maid of Honor. She also had lovely personal gifts for them (and for Nick’s mom), that had everyone trying to keep the tears away. Raleigh Wedding Photographers Raleigh Wedding Photographers Raleigh Wedding Photographers Colorful Wedding Details
While the Klemm ladies were getting ready upstairs, John was down with Nick, his dad, his brother, and his friend Mike (Mike gets the credit for introducing Kaleigh & Nick!)
I call that last image “How many men does it take to put on a boutonniere?” When they were ready, the guys boarded the Raleigh Trolley and headed to Brewery Bhavana to greet guests before the ceremony.  Brewery Bhavana Raleigh Wedding
Back at the hotel, it was time for Kaleigh & co. to board the Raleigh Trolley themselves to head to MarblesRaleigh Trolley Raleigh Wedding Photography Raleigh Trolley Raleigh Wedding Photography
The ceremony took place in a little courtyard next to the IMAX theater, and, well, The Meg came out this weekend. Marbles Museum Wedding
As guests started to arrive, they got to listen to Kaleigh’s dad’s ukulele band. That’s him in the blue tie, second from the left.  Since the father of the bride would need to put down his instrument to go bring Kaleigh down the aisle, the Maid of Honor’s husband (then fiancé, they got married Sunday!) picked up the slack to play Kaleigh’s entrance music on his accordion. Ukelele and accordion for wedding Accordion music at wedding
Nick was tearing up when he saw Kaleigh for the first time.  Marbles Museum Wedding
And Nick’s sister in law was very choked up during her reading. Kaleigh’s brother and his wife read one of my favorite Neil Gaiman pieces, All I Know About Love Marbles Museum Wedding

I love sharing some of the fun moments during family portrait time. Here’s Kaleigh & Nick and all their siblings and siblings in law, and Kaleigh & her dad showing off their stylish footwear. Marbles Museum Wedding Marbles Museum Wedding
I think this might be my new favorite mural downtown. It says Play – do you see it? Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Marbles Museum Wedding
Then inside the museum for some fun, and, let’s be real, some AC. Marbles Museum Wedding

The Marbles Museum space is so fun and colorful. I really loved shooting there!Marbles Museum Wedding Laughter from siblings’ toasts and…

The father daughter dance served a dual purpose: let them have their moment AND get everyone on the dance floor. I think they succeeded: Marbles Museum Wedding Colorful Wedding Photography Colorful Wedding Photography

A glow stick exit was the perfect cap to their colorful Marbles Museum Wedding, but everyone kept on going to the afterparty! I bet they shut down bars.Marbles Museum Wedding Glow Stick Exit Marbles Museum Wedding Glow Stick Exit
But one last thing:
Congrats y’all!!
