Chris & Allison’s Colorful Raleigh Engagement Session

I had the best time hanging out with these two Thursday for their engagement photos. We started at their apartment (less than a mile walk from our place! I love living downtown), and then hit up an awesome John Prine mural, Moore Square Park, and Boxcar before ending with the sunset on the Dillon’s roof terrace. ALL THE COLORS!

Not gonna lie, kinda bummed we won’t get to photograph their wedding, but it’s for an amazing reason: they won a whole wedding (including photography from another photographer) from Merrimon-Wynne’s giveaway! Complete with a custom suit for Chris and shopping credit at Gilded Bridal for Allison. Talk about wedding savings!

I’m still down to go to Belize with y’all one day though!

A peek at our colorful Raleigh engagement session fun, starting with some college football love (guess what these two are going to have on TV today!), and their adorable tiny pup and her adorable tiny bandana.

Yes, that is a suit of armor. John, I want one! Chris got it at Homegoods.

Now let the adventure downtown begin! First stop was this awesome John Prine mural by The Mural Shop. Remember the story I told about the John Prine song at Julia & Kurt’s wedding? Well, John Prine is Allison’s dad’s favorite, so she knew the song I was talking about! It’s John Prine week I guess. Also, can we all take a minute to love on Allison’s tulle skirt?

On to Boxcar! I love all the color and commotion in this place.

As the sun started to set, we made our way up to the Dillon’s roof terrace and we couldn’t have asked for better sky colors – orange to the west and purplish-blue to the east! Throw on a green gel and we can make the sky bright pink!
