Desiree & Adam’s Holly Springs, North Carolina Wedding

Desiree and Adam are fun (and adorable!) self-proclaimed geeks who go together like Hogsmeade and Butter Beer. Adam proposed at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and the pair incorporated magical details into their ceremony and reception. Check out some of our favorites from their wedding on May 24, 2015 at Bass Lake Park in Holly Springs, NC.

This is a real rose dipped in gold. How gorgeous is that? Mother of the bride got one and so did mother of the groom.

In case you didn’t already know, I love mirror shots. Look at all these lovely ladies getting their fancy on.Bride and bridesmaids putting on makeup

Not only was Desiree the bride, she was the official “unnecessary dress string-thing cutter-outer.” So thoughtful.

And the ladies returned the favor by buttoning Desiree up into her lacy dress

The amazing shot on the left is one of my absolute favorites. So incredibly gorgeous. John is no mere “second” shooter. My husband’s got chops y’all.

Over to the fellas. Adam modeled well:

Group shots are always a lot easier when you have people who aren’t afraid to be a little silly. They’re way easier when you’ve got a group that WANTS to be fun. That’s how this bridal party was all day and night – so nice to work with.

Desiree did a first look with her dad and it was the SWEETEST moment. Her dad went through the whole gambit of expressions too, so it definitely paid off.

I loved the section of their vows when their officiant (a good friend) asked each of them if they “liked it.” When they said yes, he said “then put a ring on it.” If you like it, then put a ring on it
