Intimate Meadows Raleigh Wedding

Make sure to make time for portraits around sunset time on your wedding day - this couple and I had so much fun creating magic during golden hour AND blue hour

Megan & Taylor’s intimate wedding at The Meadows Raleigh

Saturday was the most gorgeous early fall day at The Meadows Raleigh. Taylor & Megan could not have asked for more perfect weather. I don’t think they could have gotten much more perfect company either. Their wedding was an intimate family affair, and their families were so lovely. It was truly a pleasure to get to spend the day with this crowd. (Especially Megan’s baby brother – stay tuned.)

I’ll have more to say about this colorful wedding in and among the images below, but first we always show love to our friendors – the vendor friends who helped make it all happen.

That ring box (and the ring inside) were Megan’s great-grandmothers! I love a family heirloom on a wedding day.

It’s my favorite famous hand doing Megan’s makeup!! Nina from Wedded Kiss is the best y’all.

Megan’s mom had a bedazzled mask that matched her dress. We are figuring out ways to cope with our Covid lives.

Who's going to help you into your wedding dress? Remember when I mentioned loving Megan’s little brother? Well, meet Gus. He was the ring bearer too.

Over at The Roost, the guys had funky socks, ping pong, and toasts.

Erica from Folie à Deux did such a good job getting that boutonniere on Taylor… and Gus promptly decided he would try to eat it…

Seriously though, could you paint a more beautiful backdrop for an intimate wedding ceremony?

Taylor & Megan both wrote personal vows, and they were so lovely – laughter and tears, which are the mark of a perfect wedding ceremony.

Here’s a #covidwedding moment: Megan & Taylor streamed their ceremony so other friends and family could watch, and then they had some congratulatory video messages waiting for them back at cocktail hour.

When I asked Megan what their wedding colors were, she said “all the colors” and I said “YOU ROCK”. How perfect is this bright & colorful intimate dinner setup? The colored glassware is to die for.
