Saturday was the most gorgeous early fall day at The Meadows Raleigh. Taylor & Megan could not have asked for more perfect weather. I don’t think they could have gotten much more perfect company either. Their wedding was an intimate family affair, and their families were so lovely. It was truly a pleasure to get to spend the day with this crowd. (Especially Megan’s baby brother – stay tuned.)
I’ll have more to say about this colorful wedding in and among the images below, but first we always show love to our friendors – the vendor friends who helped make it all happen.
Venue: The Meadows Raleigh
Planner & Florist: Folie à Deux Events
Hair & Makeup: Wedded Kiss
Photos: That would be us 🙂
Officiant: Sister of the bride!
Catering & Bar: Rocky Top Catering
Tabletop & Linens: CE Rental
Specialty glassware: Southern Vintage Table
DJ: DJ Ones
Dessert: Simply Cakes
That ring box (and the ring inside) were Megan’s great-grandmothers! I love a family heirloom on a wedding day.
It’s my favorite famous hand doing Megan’s makeup!! Nina from Wedded Kiss is the best y’all.
Megan’s mom had a bedazzled mask that matched her dress. We are figuring out ways to cope with our Covid lives.
Remember when I mentioned loving Megan’s little brother? Well, meet Gus. He was the ring bearer too.
Over at The Roost, the guys had funky socks, ping pong, and toasts.
Erica from Folie à Deux did such a good job getting that boutonniere on Taylor… and Gus promptly decided he would try to eat it…
Seriously though, could you paint a more beautiful backdrop for an intimate wedding ceremony?
Megan’s dad made sure she could make it under the branches of the oak tree on the lawn.
Taylor & Megan both wrote personal vows, and they were so lovely – laughter and tears, which are the mark of a perfect wedding ceremony.
Some group photos after the ceremony…
And then late afternoon portraits with the newlyweds!
Meanwhile their families were enjoying cornhole and lawn-size jenga. Definitely have lawn games at your wedding!
Here’s a #covidwedding moment: Megan & Taylor streamed their ceremony so other friends and family could watch, and then they had some congratulatory video messages waiting for them back at cocktail hour.
No cake was harmed in the making of this photo.
When I asked Megan what their wedding colors were, she said “all the colors” and I said “YOU ROCK”. How perfect is this bright & colorful intimate dinner setup? The colored glassware is to die for.
After dinner we snuck back outside for sunset. Get you a photographer who can give you dreamy golden hour looks like this…
… and then turn around and deliver blue hour goodness in the same 10-15 minute block.
More tears and laughter during toasts from Megan’s dad and sister and from Taylor’s step-brother.
Then it was over to the cantina for dancing the night away!
As the night cooled off, people mingled around the bonfire.
And then, it always happens too soon, it was time for goodbyes and goodnights.
Thanks for letting us be a part of your day Taylor & Megan! We loved every minute of it!
