The Kivii Life includes runDisney! (because duh)

February’s recap is a little late because John and I spent the last week of it in Florida for the runDisney Princess Half-Marathon weekend. But before I get into that, some other highlights of the shortest month in 2018:

Greensboro Science Center

I headed back to one of our 2017 wedding venues, the Greensboro Science Center, but this time I went during the day and had the privilege of exploring the exhibits with my good friend Christine and her adorable little girl. Chrissy is the amazing mother to twins, but baby boy was busy hanging out with dad for the day. Check out me and little Emmy on our science adventures!

Night to Shine!

Another photographer friend of mine needed some help documenting the local Night to Shine event, which was great because I got to flex my dance photography muscles before wedding season gets into high gear. This event, which is a prom for people with special needs, was one of the coolest things I’ve gotten to photograph and I hope I can do it again next year. They had a red carpet, limo rides, karaoke, and of course an amazing dance floor:

RunDisney Princess Weekend

In the last week of the month, I did a little bit of commercial photography, and then we packed up to head to our favorite place….*insert dramatic sound effect*… WALT. DISNEY. WORLD.  Although we did a good amount of park touring and ate plenty of great food, this trip was dedicated to running. We ran a 10k on Saturday (for which I got an AWESOME Merida medal) and a half-marathon on Sunday. Here we are with one of the friends we saw during the 10K:

Also in February, the winter Olympics happened and I fell down the rabbit hole of #VirtueMoir. John will undoubtedly roll his eyes when he reads this, but it’s important that all of you know that Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Canada’s ice dancing gold medalists, are OBVIOUSLY IN LOVE WITH ONE ANOTHER AND JUST NOT TELLING THE WORLD.
