Jessica & Eric’s New Year’s Eve Wedding at the Stockroom

We rang in the new decade with Eric & Jessica and their amazing friends and family, celebrating their wedding in downtown Raleigh at the Stockroom. Everyone had a great time, and *almost* everyone made it to midnight! I particularly like New Year’s Eve weddings because it’s the only way I make it to midnight (years that I don’t have a wedding booked I usually end up asleep by 9:30), and this one was super awesome for so many reasons: adorable wedding party kids, ice cream(!), and a trip to the Artsplosure “Astro Botanicals Garden of Light.”

We also got to party into 2020 with some awesome friendors:

And then us here at Kivus & Camera were obviously taking a bunch of pictures!

And now some Stockroom New Year’s Eve Wedding Photos!!

I loved all the gold details incorporated into the wedding – even Jessica’s dress had gold!

Look Jessica, Eric *did* have his letter written out beforehand! He just had to transcribe it into the card 😀

I love when couples exchange notes on the wedding day! It can be hard to express all your feelings in the moment, and taking some time to write down your thoughts means your partner will have a love-filled keepsake from the wedding day.

After reading their letters for one another, Eric got to see his almost-wife for the first time up on the deck outside the Glass Box.

Following group portraits, Eric & Jessica headed out to the Capitol grounds with us for some portraits of just the two of them.

After the sun was down it was time for the main event. The niblings (that means nieces & nephews – great word right?) did their thing tossing flower petals, Jessica & Eric were full of smiles, and there was even a marching band celebrating outside!

Here’s the promised Artsplosure exhibit. How cool are these inflatable sculptures?

We also grabbed a portrait with the Ferris Wheel because when there’s a Ferris Wheel right outside your wedding venue, that’s what you do.

Back inside the vendor team had done an incredible job turning the Stockroom from ceremony space to New Year’s Eve party venue. Every table had hats and noise makers AND a clock. And then, in front of the chalkboard wall was a champagne tower.

The first dance and father of the bride’s welcome speech was followed by dinner and some noisemaking shenanigans…

… which were in turn followed by toasts and more shenanigans.

Darion had all ages on the dance floor!

I can never resist some nighttime double exposures, so we stole the newlyweds from the dance floor for a minute to make these.

And then the countdown began… the kiss below spans two decades y’all!

Jessica & Eric ended the reception with a dance in a circle of their friends and family but that didn’t end the party. Most of these crazy kids were planning to go on to the after-party at Raleigh Times!! (I went to sleep)

That’s all for now! Happy New Year everyone, and thanks so much Eric & Jessica for having us be part of your big day!
