North Carolina State Fair Engagement

2025 update: Thinking about doing your engagement photos at the North Carolina State Fair? I’m your photographer! the fairgrounds are literally a playground for me. The Kivus & Camera photography style is all about bright colors and dramatic light. North Carolina’s fair provides all of that and it’s so much fun to boot. So if it’s something you and your partner love to do every year anyway, why not just have your engagement photos at the fair?

I owe you guys so many backed up blog posts now. October has me drowning in sessions and editing (it’s a good thing I promise!) but I absolutely had to share this sneak peek at the State Fair engagement session we did yesterday with Sarah & Josh. They are great friends of ours from law school and I was so delighted and flattered when they reached out to us for wedding photos.

We love creating engagement session images that capture the couple’s personalities and for Sarah & Josh, the North Carolina State Fair was the perfect place!! We spent the afternoon and evening walking around, doing everything from ‘baaing’ at sheep to eating fried things to basking in neon midway lights. It was perfection. And how cute are these two:

I cannot wait for their wedding next year!!!!
