Boudoir Henna

Consider adding henna art to your boudoir session
The wonderful Henna Art by Nadia recently up residency in the Triangle Boudoir studio building and we celebrated with a collab boudoir henna session.
Henna has been used as a natural dye dating back to ancient civilizations. Most Americans familiar with henna know of its use for temporary skin art. While many associate it with South Asian weddings and festivals, henna art can also be a way to celebrate other joyous occasions, like pregnancy or birthdays. You can also rock henna art for the simple reason of loving it.
Boudoir is, first and foremost, a message of love to your body. At least that’s what it is at the Triangle Boudoir studio. Adding henna art is one more way to celebrate yourself.
Ms. A’s henna boudoir session
Ms. A’s two part session started with an appointment with Nadia to have the henna done. A couple days later she came to the studio for me to photograph her session. Giving the henna 2-4 days to set before your boudoir session results in the best stain.
Nadia & Ms. A decided on hands and spine, but other good locations for boudoir henna art could be under the breast line, along the collarbone, or just above the hipbones.
Think about the outfits you’e like to wear for your boudoir photos and how the henna art could accentuate the areas of exposed skin.
