I love the City of Oaks and I love popping, saturated colors, so this colorful Raleigh engagement is the stuff my dreams are made of. I first met Jenny at Trophy on Maywood to hear about her and Alex’s wedding plans, and that’s when I learned they’d be throwing the wedding at their house, which is currently a work in progress. They managed to find a great house and a good chunk of land just about 10 minutes from downtown Raleigh and are putting a lot of (wo)man power into renovating the house and the property. It’s going to be the PERFECT venue for their September wedding. They’ve got Crepe Myrtles in the front yard and a pond (seen above) along the driveway to the house. I could tell just from our time together at their engagement session yesterday that Alex & Jenny work well together, and I’m really looking forward to seeing all their hard work pay off and come together.
And now, more images. We started at Boulted Bread which has a cute little patio and tons of beautiful color all around. Also, who knew there was an alley specifically for graffiti right there? it’s awesome!
So much amazing color!!
After touring the block around Boulted Bread, we headed over to their new place, where the skies did not disappoint us. Don’t miss the tractor picture! That is their new toy – that’s how you know serious work is getting done.
As the sun set and the weather got colder, we snuck over to the pond for some reflection. (See what I did there? I’ll see myself out)
Two blog posts in one day! Don’t get used to it though.
