Love is fun & colorful.
Your wedding photos should be too.
Hey!! The world still exists out there. But it is a little weird. I had a socially distanced portrait session in downtown Durham this weekend with my friends Kate & Mike of MKM Photography to commemorate their 10 year wedding anniversary. They looked awesome – from Kate’s gorgeous dress in their brand colors to Mike’s suit to the bouquet of wooden flowers. Even their son Lindon looked pretty cool. He’d put on his “Elyssa outfit” which is pretty much the best compliment ever since he was mixing patterns.
Anyway, here are my favorites from this downtown Durham anniversary portrait session.
We started at the courtyard between the Durham Convention Center and the Carolina Theatre.
Laugh together, love forever. And oh yeah, Kate’s dress has pockets!!!
Gotta find a way to show the latest ink. This lady has some awesome tattoos.
And Kate made this lovely bouquet. And I forgot to ask, but I assume she made Mike’s boutonniere too?
This shaved head is a new development in the Marchetto household. A little bit quarantine, a little bit if you can pull it off, go for it!
I of course had to break out some MagMod gels to pull in their brand colors. Around this time, the people working at the Carolina Theatre gave us some delicious popcorn to take home. They’re doing takeout concessions in case you didn’t know. I highly recommend picking up some treats for your next quarantine movie night.
A bit before the sunset time we headed up to get our skyline/sunset angle. And we got oranges…
… and bright blues…
.. and dark blues! And Lindon got zoomies in. Ginger love <3
Okay last one – how fierce is this lady! I love having a like-minded nerdy creative wedding photographer friend like her. Congrats to you two on 10 years and here’s hoping we can hang out over beers in a “new normal” situation soon.
We believe that love is bright and colorful, and your wedding photographs should be bright and colorful too.
