Love is fun & colorful.
Your wedding photos should be too.
When you hear emotional wedding photos, you might picture tears, and Erin & Geoff’s wedding certainly had beautiful photos with tears of joy, but tears aren’t the only way we express emotion. We laugh, we hug, we gently touch a hand, we react with surprise, we love with our eyes, we even struggle to keep from crying. By the way, don’t do that last one – let the tears come! – it’s more than acceptable to cry at a wedding. Just make sure you’ve hired a great makeup artist (if you want to wear makeup) so there isn’t too much streaming mascara in those wedding photos full of emotion.
Anyway, enough about emotion. Let’s talk about the stars of this blog post: Erin & Geoff. These two started as neighbors, then became friends, and obviously fell in love. One of my favorite things about working with these two was how easily they made one another laugh. I truly believe having matched senses of humor is one of the most important factors in a relationship. So as you look through these highlights from their wedding day, you’ll see plenty of laughs. Keep your eyes peeled for the tears too though! All the emotion at this Cotton Room wedding.
These next two images are of Erin & Geoff reacting to the gift the other person gave them. They are kids on Christmas morning (but 8 days before Christmas).
And then of course, sweet moments at the first look!
Some drama outside…
… and then inside. A little dramatic, a little wacky. You know how I do things. Always colorful. Although, as I’ve been embracing black and white edits more lately, I might have to start saying ALMOST always colorful.
This group is ready for their prestige tv show… or to go see Erin & Geoff get married.
If you’ve got a little surplus in your wedding budget that you’re not sure what to do with, definitely look into having a live painter! I wish I’d gotten something like this for our wedding. How awesome is this? This is Annie Flood from Stroke of Whimsy.
After toasts, the dance floor heated up and the party went wild.
The night ended with a flurry of “snow” (and dancing to Gangnam Style)
