On Thursday, I joined Julia & Kurt as they went to pick up their license to wed for their ceremony this Saturday. It was such a fun use of a portrait session. I want all of our couples to keep in mind that one size does not fit all when it comes to “engagement sessions” or “bridal portraits” – let’s do something that’s perfect for y’all!
Check out our time at the Register of Deeds, Whiskey Kitchen, and Mecca!
I absolutely loved the flower pens the clerk had. They made the paperwork even more fun. Julia & Kurt’s laughter and teasing during their confirmation of their competency to get married was probably my favorite part though.
Once the license was successfully acquired, we headed to Whiskey Kitchen next door for a couple beers. That countdown app showed just about 8 days til the wedding. Now it’s only four!!!
Next we headed a couple blocks east for round two at Mecca, which felt perfectly candlelit.
Thanks for inviting me to go on this adventure with y’all! See you at your wedding in just a few days!!!
