Do you remember these two from their awesome movie theater engagement session? Well I got to hang out with them again on Friday for their even more awesome wedding at Melrose Knitting Mill. Both Kyle & Renee’s days started at The Residence Inn in Downtown Raleigh, and I started by photographing their gorgeous rings. This was also my first time seeing a Bridechilla Oh Sh*t Kit out in the wild. Hey Aleisha!! Everyone loved it!
You gotta love a bride who rocks KT tape under her dress AND Captain America socks. Meanwhile, Kyle’s accessories were themed to a more irreverent hero (are we calling a Deadpool a hero?).
Renee finished getting dressed at Melrose Knitting Mill, where we used that incredible red curtain to our advantage for her first look with her dad, her sisters, and her best friend/man of honor.
Fresh affairs really wowed me with the florals. Check out these details for the attendants! And keep your eyes peeled for Renee & Kyle’s florals and then all the ceremony and reception decor of course!
My favorite part of Kyle & Renee’s wedding ceremony was their time capsule. Kyle threatened to swallow the key later during portraits, but then how could you reminisce and add to it each year?
Almost time for the VIPs to walk down the aisle…
Since their ceremony ended just over 10 minutes before sunset, we hustled downstairs to get some portraits before the daylight disappeared. Then we broke out the softboxes for group portraits as the dark descended.
We can still do nighttime portraits too though! And get a portrait of the newlyweds in their gorgeously decorated reception space.
The wedding favor was customized microwave popcorn (to go with that movie theater engagement session!). Remember that when you see a little boy with an armful of popcorn packets later!
Here come Renee & Kyle for their first dance as husband and wife.
After parent dances, Renee’s parents welcomed the crowd and gave a blessing before dinner.
And then things got silly. These are some promo images for Spin NC’s new DJ daycare services. Renee & Kyle’s friends and family have some hilarious (and energetic kiddos).
After dinner and playtime, Man of Honor Rob toasted the couple, and Kyle thanked everyone and gushed about how gorgeous his new wife looked. I think he really likes you Renee!
You know what time it is now – dessert and party time!
Save the last dance for your person…
… and head on out through a tunnel of glow sticks to The Great Raleigh Trolley!
Congratulations! Hope you two had an amazing time at your wedding!
