There is nothing quite like a Carolina outdoor wedding. The magnolias are blooming, pine trees are rustling in the breeze during the ceremony, and as the sun sets, the dance floor heats up. Helen & Daniel’s wedding Saturday was no exception. The afternoon rain held off until about five minutes after the ceremony concluded, and it ended just 15 minutes later, leaving the lawn a little damp and the skies overcast but the happy couple and their guests nice and dry. There were plenty of horses for me to oooh and aaaah over too, both outside Helen’s house where the wedding party got ready and around the grounds of the New Bridge Polo Club down the road, where the ceremony and reception took place.

Groom prep photos are always hilarious when bowties are involved. Those are hard to tie y’all! I think Daniel got help from just about everyone in the house, and the bride’s brothers made sure he got it right.

I love when horses are around on wedding days! It’s one of the reasons I like Merry Hill (which is a bit closer to us than New Bridge down in South Carolina).

Y’all know I love a crazy dance floor at wedding receptions. Helen & Daniel’s friends did not let me down! No, thank you! What a great wedding – John and I loved being a part of it 😀
