Love is fun & colorful.
Your wedding photos should be too.
Your May the Fourth was not as good as our May the Fourth, because our May the Fourth included a Star Wars Wedding! Bailey & Patrick embraced the inherent nerdiness of their wedding date (remember their “I Love You” and “I Know” shirts?) with perfect details and it was wonderful. Their minister included “May the Force (of God’s love) be with you” as part of his final marriage pronouncement, and when we came back into the sanctuary for family formals after the ceremony, the organist surprised everyone with a rendition of John Williams’ famous theme ON THE PIPE ORGAN. Incredible!!!

Everything started at First Presbyterian Church on Main Street in High Point, which is the church Patrick attended growing up. The Church itself is beautiful – it was built in the early 1900s and the stone and stained glass are so lovely, but the community within the church was the real treasure. Plenty of fellow church members were in attendance at the wedding and were pouring out so much love for Patrick and Bailey.
BLUE SHOES ALERT! And look out for the Star Wars pajama pants hanging out in the hair and makeup chair.
First look with dad <3
Various patterns of Star Wars wedding socks for the guys, and super awesome Millennium Falcon cufflinks!
The part where you get to see everyone all done up and ready to walk down the aisle.
Bailey’s train going down the aisle = <heart eyes>. Patrick’s face when he sees Bailey is also the human equivalent of <heart eyes>.
As soon as we finished wedding party portraits, the clouds that had been threatening to rain made good on that threat and we all rushed inside. Luckily, the arcades at the church made for a great covered location for portraits of just Bailey & Patrick, and when we headed to Centennial Station after, we managed to grab a few more portraits on the porch and in the foyer (where Bailey & Patrick also got their awesome coozies with a couple drinks)
The reception decor included that Millennium Falcon guest book and table numbers that showed Patrick & Bailey at that respective age. Those nine-year-old faces are adorable!
I wasn’t going to let you go without some more Star Wars goodness! Here’s Bailey & Patrick recreating a classic Star Wars poster, and then some of my favorite Star Wars details from their rehearsal dinner. The cake says “May the Forest be with you” as a nod to their passion for the outdoors and their work in conservation.
Thank you so, so, so very much for letting us be a part of your day Bailey & Patrick!
