Lord of the Rings Wedding – Christa & Zach

Christa & Zach’s wedding at Morris Peaceland Farm was a nerdy wedding photographer’s dream. I was in love with every aspect of their Lord of the Rings wedding. First of all, how amazing do these two look?

That sword Christa is holding? That’s her very own Andúril. (Aragorn’s sword if you don’t want to google). Zach presented his elven bride with it during their ceremony!! Zach himself is rocking a leaf of Lórien on his lapel.

Breaking canon for them both to have the ONE ring, but maybe still my favorite ring shot ever?

Here’s when Christa was surprised with her sword! One of their friends brought it up and handed to Zach, who in turn presented it to Christa.

Time to get on with party business.

Their signage throughout the day was the best roadmap for a Lord of the Rings wedding:

I loved that so many of their friends got in on the theme! And what did they eat at the Lord of the Rings wedding? Why, second breakfast and PO-TA-TOES of course!

And for dessert, this awesome Lord of the Rings wedding cake from Bestow Baked Goods. She incorporated the one ring, the White Tree of Gondor, and a perfect Hobbit hole door. The newlyweds cut into the cake with Andúril, natch.

Dancing in the dark and snuggles by the fire pit were the perfect way to end this fantastical day!
