And finally, Claire’s awesome copper headpiece and hair pins: made by Claire, the coppersmith!
Without further ado, some of my favorite images from Claire & Ben’s Barber Park wedding:
This dress was stunning!! And most of Claire’s accessories & jewelry were copper since she’s a coppersmith. She made her headband/tiara and her hairpins herself. She also made earrings for all her bridesmaids!
Since Claire & Ben got married in an intimate ceremony last year, this was actually a vow renewal. So Claire found these adorable anniversary cards to write their vows in. The card says “A+. Would marry again.” And Claire just covered the Happy Anniversary part with the gold tape and their initials. And in the background, you can see her putting the finishing touches on her headband & hair pins.
Sometimes you need multiple layers of makeup (see what I did there?)
I love that these ladies just went straight for the champagne without bothering to make it a mimosa. That is my style!
Something blue PLUS perfect dancing shoes 🙂
And here’s Ben’s something blue atop love poetry and Tolkein.
Here’s Ben helping his son Liam get ready. When I was looking through Kate’s photos from Ben’s getting ready time, these images gave me all the feels. Such sweet father-son moments!
And then it was time for a first look. I love these expressions!! In the next photos you’ll clearly see how excited they were to see one another, but this one is all about their hilarious personalities.
Yes Claire! Show off that gorgeous, unique gown. Can more brides please add a little color to their wedding dresses? And when I say color, I don’t mean ivory or champagne. Ivory and champagne are still white. I mean jewel tones and primary colors!!! Embrace some happy colors!!
And here’s the fun wedding party plus bonus shots with the kiddos.
Time for the ceremony! There was a candy girl at this Halloween weekend wedding instead of a flower girl, and this little lady rocked it. Also, where can I get those shiny pink lace up boots in big girl sizes?
OMG. The way he looks at her </heart eyes emoji>
After the ceremony, we snuck over to Gateway Gardens where they had their first intimate wedding ceremony last year, in front of this cool story book.
Back at Barber Park, the reception tables were all decorated with halloween-y decor. I love the kissing skeletons on the sweetheart table!
A first dance/rick roll is a definite winner!
And that was followed up with some toasts and cake!
Look at Liam in the cake shots!! Best reactions ever!
Midway through the mother son dance, Claire brought Liam out to the floor, and then he got to dance with his grandma too. And yes, he changed into a Pokemon trainer costume for the reception. Good eyes you!
And more costumes hit the dance floor too. Here’s the Phantom & Cinderella sharing a kiss before midnight.
A couple of very fashionable elves!
And the hero of the dance floor: Claire’s sister’s partner Shanon.
At the end of the night the “newly”weds exited to a barrage of colorful ribbon wands. Much joy! Very happy!
I’ll leave you with one last nighttime shot because I love getting to play after dark! Congrats again Claire & Ben!!
