Mountain Lodge Wedding – Molly & David
The mountain lodge where Molly & David hosted their wedding was one of the primary filming locations for Dirty Dancing. You better believe the famous lift happened on the dance floor. See below for the photographic evidence. That first photo above is from their welcome party the night before the wedding. I had to include it because Molly’s hot pink suit is EVERYTHING.

Guests gathered at the main mountain lodge to board busses that took them up to the ceremony site at the top, where there was a wonderful view, and beautiful floral arch.

You can see the sky color progression, but Molly and David only had eyes for one another.
I think we heard the first clap of thunder just before their first kiss!
As soon as the newlyweds made it back down the aisle, the wind and sprinkles picked up, and everyone made their way to cars and shuttles:
It was a tad chaotic… that’s videographer Zara at the left of the frame running to grab gear. But everyone dried off and warmed up once they were back down the mountain, where Molly & David kicked off the reception with their first dance.
A slightly damp group hug with the wedding party to warm up the couple before we did a very brief portrait session in the light rain (basically mist) making its way through the tree cover.
A few speeches and then the dance floor definitely got everyone warm again!
Aaaaaaand, here comes the lift!
David did have a little assist, but it was epic!
Do you recognize the ladies dancing on the right? In the pink is Katy, Molly’s sister. We photographed Katy & Monica’s wedding a few years ago 🙂
Some sparklers underneath the patio roof to end the night, as the rain had started up again.
So glad these two got the mountain wedding of their dreams and none of the guests let the storm dampen the vibes. Thank you Molly & David!!!
