This was my first wedding at Graham Mill and it was the best experience! I first met Susan & Adam at a wedding show where she showed me her incredible custom Harley Quinn claddagh ring and I knew that I would be devastated if they didn’t book me. Thankfully they did, and their wedding did not disappoint! It was full of nerdy little details and all the happy rainbow colors.
And this wasn’t just an amazing wedding because of the couple, they had a BALLER team. Let’s give some love to them:
Venue: The Graham Mill
Catering/Bar: Catering Works
Planner: Harmony Weddings and Events – Kathryne!
DJ: DJ Harlem
Hair & Makeup: Made Beautiful by Roya
Dessert: Cupcakes d’Amour
Photos: that’s me!!!!
And now let’s go through their day 😀
Starting with all the amazing rainbow details and Susan’s origami bouquet (featuring Harley Quinn comic pages!)
Here’s the claddagh ring with Harley Quinn details. And Adam’s ring on one of the awesome die that was part of the wedding favors: blue and purple iridescent dice sets.
The rainbows even extended to Susan’s nails.
And her glasses too!!! I think I need to buy a pair of these.
Time for the first look! I love love loved Susan’s rainbow parasol. And of course Adam’s happy reaction.
Before the ceremony, we walked down to downtown Graham for some portraits. Loved that we found this Elf cutout.
How perfect are these two?!?!
Before they walked down the aisle, Susan & Adam played this Muppets song. It was the cutest.
More of this epic bouquet because ooo la la! And have we ooo’d and aaaaaa’d over Susan’s dress yet? Because perfect 50s goodness. Her whole look was incredible.
After some cotton candy skies, we went inside where more dice were waiting as reception decor along with a perfect Zelda cake topper.
Love that Susan wasn’t hesitant to ditch the heels for the dance floor. Y’all do whatever it takes to have the most fun on your wedding day!
After cake, Susan’s friend Jason Robert Brown, who happens to be a Tony award winning composer, performed (via video) a song for the newlyweds and their intimate crowd of guests. I loved Susan’s emotional reactions.
And then DJ Harlem got the party going. And y’all. Always invest in the uplighting!! It makes such a difference.
Don’t mind me just borrowing the neon rainbow from the sweetheart table for my own designs.
Here’s Susan admiring her husband dancing with his mom (and admiring her perfect nerdy wedding in general) through the windows from the Graham Mill courtyard.
You: Elyssa, who’s your ideal client?
Me: Exhibit A
And now a lightsaber exit!!! This is truly my kinda couple <3
Jedi knights aren’t supposed to get married, but these two got a special pass.
And then shoutout to my awesome assistant Emily who had the great idea to do some light painting with the neon rainbow.
Aren’t they the best?!?!? Thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer Susan & Adam. Your wedding day was truly one of my favorites of all time.
