Love is fun & colorful.
Your wedding photos should be too.
It was back to back museum wedding weekends for us in the last weekend of October/first weekend of November. We had Rachael & Andrea on Halloween at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, and then 6 days later, Sarah & Adam here got married at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh. Happy 1 week anniversary to them with these images 😀 Most of our couples are perfect couples, but Sarah & Adam were so clearly made for one another. They are the type of couple who can have whole conversations just by exchanging a couple of looks. And what a great venue for these smarties. A mountain lion watched over their ceremony, and they danced among dinosaurs. AMAZING.
Here’s this museum wedding team:

Are you ready for some previews now?
Let’s start by sharing that Sarah wore Birkenstocks (despite the fact that it was a tad chilly. A girl deserves to wear her favorite shoes on her wedding day though!
Before the Birkenstocks went on though, she could be seen getting ready in these delightful dinosaur slippers.
Sarah & Adam shared their first look at the Sheraton in downtown Raleigh where they were getting ready, and their expressions said it all!
Then the wedding party went on an adventure through downtown to get to Nash Square Park. Most chose to walk, but the brave few commandeered the ubiquitous downtown scooters (which made the wind chill even more intense).
Adam is ready for the scooter olympics.
Snuggling together for warmth!! And laughing to get the heart rate up.
Being a Fearless Photographer means saying “now ride the scooters right at me”
Define *too much* fun during wedding party portraits.
Then another brisk walk to the Capitol grounds for family portraits!
And finally, into the Museum. This pretty kitty was security for the ceremony location.
Love to spot a tear and a smile in the same frame!
Absolutely adore this shot John got of Sarah making 100% sure Adam’s ring got on safely.
After the ceremony, these two and I ran around the museum for more portraits. I really liked this “aquarium” setting.
And of course the T-Rex skull.
More dinos were hanging out at the dinner tables getting ready for the museum wedding reception.
Look at this swagger coming into their party!
Full on toasts, it’s time for cake. Look at Sarah & Adam’s dogs turned into cake toppers!!!
Their first dance was stalked by a couple dinosaurs.
And recorded by some munchkins!
I loved that the flower girls were the first to join the couple on the dance floor.
We braved the cold once more at the end of the night for a long exposure night shot with the globe. It started drizzling a little, but I think that makes this image even dreamier.
Congrats!! So excited to have gotten to celebrate with you!
