Wilmington Wedding at Brooklyn Arts Center

Part 2 of Joe & Allegra’s Wilmington Wedding

Do you remember the fun we had for part 1 of Joe & Allegra’s Wilmington wedding journey? If not, check it out here. Last year they had their intimate wedding ceremony at the Brooklyn Arts Center, with just a small beach gathering after. This year, we got to explore the Annex (the other half of the Brooklyn Arts Center) for their wedding reception!

As always, bit thank yous to the team:

Venue: Brooklyn Arts Center Annex
Planner: Social Butterfly Events
Florist: Design Perfection
Music: Active DJ Entertainment
Catering: A Thyme Savor
Wedding Dress: Justin Alexander from Coastal Knot Bridal
Photos: That’s US!!!

And now, a preview of a Wilmington wedding day that started with cocktail hour (shouldn’t they all though?)

Technically, we started with a few fresh group photos and THEN cocktail hour.

Time for cocktails! Joe & Allegra’s signature drinks were an Old Fashioned and a French 75. Which one are you ordering?

Are you going to have signature cocktails at your wedding? Here's an old fashioned and a French 75. Perfection!

Before too long, everyone headed upstairs for dinner and long overdue wedding toasts. How cool is this wire art work inside the Brooklyn Arts Center Annex?

This is Allegra’s 92 year old aunt who luckily got to attend this year’s celebration! Keep scrolling because she even hit up the dance floor!

Make sure your wedding toast elicits a few laughs! Make sure your wedding toast elicits a few laughs! Make sure your wedding toast elicits a few laughs!

Back downstairs Joe & Allegra shared a first dance and then Allegra danced with her dad and Joe with his mom.

And now, let’s start this party that has been in the works for YEARS.

This upside down person is Jay, who officiated their wedding ceremony last year. He’s a great wedding guest too. Anyone who does a handstand on the dance floor gets five stars in my book.

Are you inviting friends to your wedding who will do headstands on the dancefloor? fun Wilmington wedding at the Brooklyn Arts Center annex

This crowd really took advantage of the time to party!

Some of the law school ladies singing at the top of their lungs. Nicole on the left is getting married in just a few months and I can’t wait for that fun!

Joe & Allegra took to the stage to rule over the last song (/encourage everyone to the afterparty).

And that’s a wrap for part 2 of Joe & Allegra’s Wilmington wedding adventures. As Joe’s dad said in his toast, see y’all next year for part 3 right?
