I promised these when I shared Victoria & Bryant’s wedding last month, and here they finally are! The stunning Victoria’s Raleigh bridal portraits. This was my first time shooting anything at the Hall & Gardens at Landmark and I was devastated to see that they’ve closed in the few months since we got to shoot there. I’m not sure if they’re a COVID casualty but I hope they’re able to reopen or that someone else brings the property back as a venue, because it is gorgeous and was such a dreamy place to photograph Victoria’s bridals.
And if you don’t know what bridal portraits are, let me fill you in. It’s a pretty southern tradition, but I’ve seen it taking hold in other areas too. Basically, you put on your wedding dress and do your hair & makeup and everything a few weeks before your wedding. It’s a great opportunity to get more portraits of your wedding look without taking time away from your wedding day party. It’s also a good way to make sure you love love love everything about your look (not to mention to practice walking around and sitting and everything in your outfit). If you want to do things in true southern fashion, you’ll then order a piece of wall art from your bridal portrait session and have it on display at your wedding reception. That’s how we do it in the south.
