Heather & David’s Rustic Vineyard Wedding at Painted Pony Vineyards in North Carolina

Imagine a vineyard wedding. Now imagine there are horses there too. And imagine a patch of grass under market lights as your dance floor. Congratulations! You’re at Heather & David’s North Carolina vineyard wedding.

This day was so beautiful. Heather’s gown (with sleeves – I LOVE LOVE LOVE) suited her perfectly, and their kids were an important part of the wedding, standing at the altar with the wedding party. But I don’t need to paint you a full word picture, let me just show you some of my favorite images from their wedding day:

The groom and his crew (that’s his mom with the fish there!) spent the first few hours of the day fishing in the lake on property. Not a bad way to start a fun Saturday!

Meanwhile Heather and her side had all sorts of spraying going on:

How sweet is David’s son as his dad fixes his tie for him?!

And the light on this shot of David? John did real good!

They elected to have a a first touch and not a first look, but Heather looks like she was trying to sneak a little peek at least at David’s shoulder!

So you just saw their personal florals, but check out the florals on the altar at the outdoor chapel!!! This altar in the woods was the most gorgeous ceremony location.

As we got toward the end of the ceremony, Heather’s daughter was ready to sit again haha. I promise she was smiling a lot of the ceremony!!!

Right after the ceremony, the newlyweds went over to pet the equine friends at the venue…

… and this little guy was like “am I invited to the reception?”

And here’s the couple with their kids and wedding party (which included the kids too)!!!

There’s nothing like that newlywed joy!!!

And then on to the lovely al fresco reception. I love bare feet on a grass dance floor, so keep an eye peeled for those bare feet!

After their first dance, Heather & David were blessed with a lovely orangey-pink sunset.

John from Stylus had a DJ booth in the sky!! It felt like he was our club DJ.

And a bunch of the guests were taking advantage!

David’s coworkers surprised the couple with a gift of a “rain” shower of dollar bills.

And this vineyard wedding ended beautifully with sparklers.
