Raleigh rocks y'all. And our little city has some fantastic places to get married. I'm honestly incapable of picking only 10 of my favorite venues, so this "Top 10 Raleigh Wedding Venues" list is for venues that (a) are actually IN Raleigh and (b) are traditional venues, in the sense that hosting events is their primary purpose.

We've got another whole page dedicated to our favorite wedding venues *near* Raleigh (i.e. in Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, etc.)  and one dedicated to some of our favorite 'non-traditional' wedding venues (museums, etc.).

I know I'm missing some good ones, but this is my short-list, so without further ado, an alphabetical list of my favorite Raleigh wedding venues (all of which are welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community):

All Saints Chapel

All Saints Chapel wasn't voted the prettiest chapel in the South for nothing. This historic chapel is one of my favorite buildings in town, not just one of my favorite Raleigh wedding venues. The stained glass is stunning, and the hardwoods are a dream. All Saints works beautifully for both your ceremony & reception, but it's also popular as just a ceremony venue.

City Club

City Club might just be Raleigh's top wedding venue. Get it? Because it's on the 28th floor of the Wells Fargo Building? It's okay to roll your eyes at me. Okay, okay, I'm sorry. But seriously, the views cannot be beat, and the food is delicious too. It's great to be right in the heart of downtown Raleigh, because it's easy to run over to the gorgeous Capitol grounds for portraits or to send your guests to your favorite bar for the after-party. I think all the pros for City Club far outweigh the fact that my ears pop on the elevator EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Haywood Hall & Gardens

If you're looking for a gorgeous outdoor option for a downtown Raleigh wedding venue, then Haywood Hall & Gardens is your spot. The house itself is gorgeous and full of incredible antique furnishings. But the Gardens are where your party will happen. Most people don't even know the grounds are hiding just two blocks away from the Capitol, but once you stumble across them, you feel transported from the city.

The Laurelbrook

I haven't gotten to photograph a wedding at The Laurelbrook yet, so I'm kind of cheating by including them in *my* top Raleigh wedding venues, but I really, really want to photograph a wedding there. I think it's positively gorgeous and has such a unique vibe. It used to be a greenhouse, which in and of itself is really cool, but on top of that, it's a good sized space with a gorgeous industrial look, giant windows, and a fantastic courtyard.

Two For One:
Market View and Park View
at Market HalL

These two venues share a wall and management, so I think it's fair to write about them together. Market View and Park View (formerly 214 Martin) together make up Market Hall, which sits in the center of downtown Raleigh's historic City Market district. City Market features cobblestone streets with market lights strung above, and Moore Square Park is just across the road. Need I say more?

You don't need to book both sides of the venue, and both are gorgeous in their own right, but you can book both Market View and Park View if you want. And for anyone with a huge wedding, that's exactly what you'll want to do. They can seat more than 400 if needed!!

The Meadows Raleigh

The Meadows is one of the newest Raleigh wedding venues in the game but they've really made a name for themselves. This venue sits on a huge swath of land southwest of downtown Raleigh. The land is really the feature that draws people in, because there are wooded areas, clearings in those wooded areas, a farmhouse with a giant tree (and tree swing) in the front yard, and, of course, the namesake meadows full of tall grass. But the interior spaces are fantastic too. Two huge houses for getting ready, a hall for your reception dinner and a connected space next to it for your bar and dance floor.

Melrose Knitting Mill

Raise your hand if you love exposed brick! Me!!! I do! And I love huge windows. If that's your thing, then Melrose Knitting Mill might be your dream Raleigh wedding venue. Melrose was, believe or not, a textile mill. But now it's a sun-drenched open space perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Cocktail hours in the restaurant's courtyard below are also quite wonderful.

The Merrimon-Wynne House

For the couples looking for something classic, the Raleigh wedding venue that best fits that bill is, without a doubt, The Merrimon-Wynne House in the historic Oakwood neighborhood. The Merrimon-Wynne team very rightfully call the space charming & elegant. I honestly couldn't pick better descriptors.

The Stockroom at 230

And last but not least we've got The Stockroom at 230. Since it's just a couple stories up, and right on Fayetteville Street, this is the venue for people who want to be downtown. Everyone looking for an urban-feeling Raleigh Wedding Venue loves this place. For an awesome bonus, book the Glass Box upstairs too, and have the most perfectly lit space for getting ready (or just chilling with your wedding party).
