Love is fun & colorful.
Your wedding photos should be too.
I love movies. Eva & Jade love movies. We all love fun weddings. What better way to make a wedding fun than to incorporate your favorite things? That’s exactly what Eva & Jade did at Brier Creek Country Club Saturday. Eva had the Hollywood glam look down pat, guests were encouraged to suggest movies for date night, and the table assignments were based some of on the couple’s favorite movies. <3 Mad Max: Fury Road <3
It wasn’t all about movies though. The ceremony included music from Hamilton and Gaga instrumentals, along with references to fortnite and their college days. As with all good weddings, the day was full of laughter and happy tears (most of the latter from Jade, see below!)
Venue/catering: Brier Creek Country Club
Photos: Kivus & Camera
Video: La Flecha Film Co.
Hair & Makeup: Blo Salon, Brier Creek
Dress: David’s Bridal
Florals: Harris Teeter
Officiant: Kevin Holland, Personal Weddings NC
DJ: Pro DJ Services
Cake: Nothing Bundt Cakes
Eva drew that adorable picture of their pup on the RSVP cards. Talk about some DIY talent!
Eva plus her bridesmaids, her mom, and Jade’s mom got the day started at Blo Salon, just a couple minutes away from Brier Creek Country Club. They headed over to the club after hair and makeup to finish getting ready – lovely green bridesmaids dresses and a stunning white wedding dress (WITH POCKETS!) for Eva – and await the ceremony.
Meanwhile, the guys started the day in fluffy robes. Buffalo plaid, so hot right now. (That’s a reference specifically catered to John, since it’s his birthday today). He’s the one who told the groomsmen that it’s good luck to rub the groom’s head. Sorry Jade!
The ceremony backdrop was stunning! Even though the temperatures are still nice and warm, some of the trees at the club were starting to turn shades of orange and yellow especially with the sun peeking through from behind them, so things ended up looking a little more autumnal than they felt, but it was positively gorgeous.
And here comes the bride. Jade did his best to keep it together, but was completely overcome with emotion upon seeing Eva.
The tears turned to smiles and laughs during officiant Kevin Holland’s beautiful telling of their love story though.
More laughter as a breeze made it nearly impossible to complete the unity candle ceremony. These two are committed though, and with a little bit of teamwork they got that flame going. What a perfect metaphor for marriage.
Eva seriously did not stop smiling throughout the ceremony. I think she’s glad to be married to Jade!
After the ceremony, we made our way through family and wedding party portraits and then stole just the newlyweds for portraits as the sun set.
Movie-themed centerpieces. Be still my heart! Which table would y’all pick? I’m torn between Grand Budapest Hotel and Fury Road.
After toasts, Jade & Eva took the dance floor with a choreographed routine to a song from The Greatest Showman, and then Eva and her dad opened the dance floor for everyone.
A little bit of sugar to keep the party going…
… and then the bride and bridesmaids brought it with a sing-a-long and dance to Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance
Before too long, everyone had glow tubes and the dance floor was even more colorful and fun.
What a way to end the night! Thanks Eva & Jade!!
