Love is fun & colorful.
Your wedding photos should be too.
Do you remember these two hilarious souls? Well, they tied the knot this weekend, surrounded by friends and family at the stunningly gorgeous Brookgreen Gardens. The grounds of this amazing sculpture garden just outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina are very familiar to Samantha, who has been visiting with her family since she was a little girl, and Anthony has become an important part of those visits.
And talk about a perfect wedding venue and a perfect wedding day. The skies were overcast, which made everything a little cooler than the previous weeks have been, but the grey clouds held off from raining until it was time for the bubble exit, and even then it was just a misting. But this venue. Y’all. I wish we’d had a whole other day for just portraits. Brookgreen Gardens is massive and I could’ve easily gotten lost exploring the individual gardens. The locations in the images below are a mere fraction of the options we had. I would love the opportunity to photograph here again, so thank you Samantha & Anthony for introducing us to the location.
And thanks also to the team we worked with!

And now, a peek at the Kivus & Camera images!
Samantha, her parents, and her bridesmaids got ready at the Holiday Cottage at Brookgreen Gardens, the courtyard of which served as the cocktail hour space (and a perfect spot for capturing images of the wedding day details).
Even though Samantha & Anthony did not want to see each other until the ceremony, Sam did have a first look with her dad, and he was all smiles, and – like the rest of us – very impressed with her hair decor!
Meanwhile, the guys were across the way over at Litchfield Resort overlooking the coast. Anthony’s tie bar and cufflinks were a gift from Samantha, and the writing is her handwriting. How awesome is that?
How adorable are these flower girls? They had not met until the morning of the ceremony, but they became fast friends and were cutting up the dance floor all night long.
The main event took place in one of the central gardens, with centuries old Oak trees dangling Spanish moss overhead. I told you it was gorgeous right?
Samantha had a long aisle to walk, but she wore sparkly keds, so it was easy on her feet, and she and Anthony didn’t take their eyes off one another the whole way.
I loved that while almost all the attention was on Sam and her dad making their way toward the altar, Anthony’s grandmother kept looking at him.
A proclamation and a kiss and they’re married y’all!
I had to include Anthony & his grandmother in the blog post because their love for one another is so evident. And of course the wedding party. The one after the wedding party of Samantha & her dad is a recreation of a childhood photo. Apparently, she’s dressed nicer in this photo than in the one from 15(?) years ago, haha!
When you’ve got a veil, you gotta get a killer veil shot. Shoutout to Samantha’s Matron of Honor Adrianne who gave us a professional veil toss, so we got the image in just one take!
Enough catching up with old friends reading newspapers! It’s time to get to your party!
The Stunning & Brilliant Events team did a fantastic job turning the reception tent into a magical candlelit atmosphere.
I love when couples simply can’t stop smiling at one another. That’s the stamp of an amazing day.
After Samantha’s dance with her dad, Anthony surprised his grandmother with a dance, and that was followed by an anniversary dance, with the winners having been married 43 years!
Samantha’s parents welcomed everyone with laughter and the party got going!
Cake and toasts are always a great reason to pause the dancing. And how cool is that cake topper? They had custom 3D printed figures of themselves. Pretty impressive!
A quick bouquet toss and then back to the partying!! Anthony can grow 80s rocker hair at will!
The night ended with a quick portrait under market lights and a bubble exit.
Thanks y’all! And I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon!!
