K & D’s Durham Elopement

Continuing the 2020 trend of tiny weddings, I’ve got a 6 person Durham elopement for y’all today. The six people included me, so it was the couple and their two witnesses, with myself photographing and the ever wonderful Magical Weddings by Carly officiating. K&D have a big wedding planned for the future, but wanted to go ahead and tie the knot now, and so what better way than eloping in an intimate ceremony at a badass AirBNB in downtown Durham. Seriously, this place was gorgeous, and I want someone to book it for a boudoir session with me!

Also, this week was the busiest of my whole year, with three weddings (K&D on Thursday, and then one on Friday, and one more on Saturday, the coveted 10/10/2020) plus several other sessions. So get ready to be inundated with blog posts!

Without further ado, I present: K&D’s Durham elopement!

This mirror could not have been in a better location. I was a little obsessed.

That’s multiple Covid elopements with a hand-fasting! It’s one of my favorite ceremony traditions.

Even though there were just two guests, K still threw her bouquet!! I love that you can see D watching the moment unfold.

I need this wall (and the sign of course) in my house.

I could have shot inside the AirBNB all day. There were so many great features, but we wanted to get a couple outdoor portraits too, so we spent a little bit of time out in the courtyard.
