Olde Raleigh Distillery Wedding – Rachel & Johnathan

I love working with Star Wars fans! Rachel & Johnathan brought their lightsabers to their Olde Raleigh Distillery wedding, just like they did to their engagement session. So now, here are favorites from their wedding:

You better believe I incorporated those lightsabers as often as possible!

Rachel’s bridesmaids all got her romantic books as a wedding morning present, which should totally be a tradition now!!

Rachel had her tiara on most of the morning, but wanted to do a full reveal for her bridesmaids. Their reactions did not disappoint!

While their reception was at the Olde Raleigh Distillery, Rachel & Johnathan’s wedding ceremony was at their church, St. Francis of Assisi. They opted to exchange private vows at a first look in the courtyard before the traditional ceremony.

With a catholic ceremony, there’s always time to just look at each other and soak in the moment.

And, they’re married!! Let’s head to Olde Raleigh Distillery to eat and dance 🙂

Oh wait, did I say dance? There will be dancing in a bit, but Rachel & Johnathan opted for a first lightsaber battle instead of a first dance. Talk about a dream for this nerdy wedding photographer!

One of my favorite moments was when the dancing started and Rachel got a little too low, low, low, low. Her new husband was right there to help her up though!

They had glowstick glasses and I may have had a little too much fun shooting through them!

At the end of the night, Rachel & Johnathan’s friends and family sent them off with a paper lantern exit!
